Our motorbike travel in New ZealandA land of intense colours and scents, emerald green or burned golden yellow pastures, indigo blue sky turning grey and stormy, intense wind and sudden peace, all changing every few kilometers or few minutes away.
This will be the memory of New Zealand forever alive in our memories. Land that often "bubbles and shakes", reminding the residents or those who simply visit it, to be always aware, because you could never know .... land that alternates vegetation reminiscent of the subtropical forests, going then through coniferous forests. Land that hosts a diverse population, peacefully amalgamated. After all, a little more than 4 million inhabitants spread over two hundred thousand square km is a perfect recipe to create a peaceful coexistence. Maybe it is also because the inhabitants do not base their existence on constant and dull competition like parade in the streets with the biggest and most luxurious car, or built the largest home in the town to be able to show their success. I wonder why, in New Zealand, we have not seen luxury homes protected by gates, shutters or bars .... Not appearance, but functionality and well being… the roads are well maintained, the pedestrians can walk safely in the long cycle paths / pedestrian everywhere, and there are no classic weeds and garbage that "frame" our streets .....Much different than Italy. What a wonderful land! |
